How to locate a port via IP or Mac

I have just started working at a new location and they have 2900 switches but they are all connected to one 2900 and its a mess. One computer on the network is sending bad packets and I need to locate that computer. I have its mac address and IP.

Any ideas would be great

Hi,

"show mac-address-table address" followed by the mac address, will show you the port the MAC address has been learned on.

...then if necessary, you can use "sho cdp neigh " to follow the switch tree to the leaf port. You're on your own to follow the wire to the offending PC.
