We are turning off certain services for Security reasons on our Switches and Routers. Does anyone know the command or how to find out what services are actually running on a router or switch either running IOS or CatOS ??? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Router and switches are layer 3 & 2 devices

respectively and do not behave in anyway similar to a PC.

You cannnot see services as you'ld on a pc but you can

see process that have been enabled by router and some enabled due

to your present configurations.

To see process, do a "sh process cpu" and to turn off the

process that are as a result of your config e.g.

NAT you have to disable nat.

I don't think you request is possible on a router or switch.
