hssi on 3640

How much memory should I install if want to install a HSSI module to use on my 3640 router with a 45mbs link. And i want my other traffic to run with out any problems.

The amount of memory required, depends on

1. IOS version

2. feature set you want to run.

3. Any additional network modules you plan to install.

For IP Plus version from 12.2, you will be looking at min of 48 MB of ram. The IOS needs 16 MB flash min. 10 percent of the Main memory needs to be configured for I/O ( use command "memory-size iomem 10" The above DRAM requirements are just with the HSSI module installed. Memory required might increase, if you plan to add additional modules
