Idea updating Packet Tracer maybe subscribe

Hello

I apologize if I'm not in the right section for my question/suggestion.

Like many I use Cisco Packet Tracer and I would like to know if Cisco intends to update the software with the implementation of new routers, switchs, asa and other features.

I know it's a lot of work but when you want to make topologies a little more complex it's not possible because it's not supported by the software.

To be honest, I'd even be prepared to pay a monthly subscription fee, for example, to have these much more advanced hardware and functionality additions.

So yes, there's GNS3 and EVE-NG, and maybe others I've forgotten or don't know about, but setting them up and configuring them is far from simple, and sometimes it's just a matter of tinkering to get the software to work.

And above all you need the IOS... so I agree you can get them on the internet but most of them are very old versions or not compatible; even more tinkering.

I really don't think I'm the only one who wants this type of upgrade and or monthly subscription with the addition of multiple hardware, functionality for more complex topologies like CCNP and above.

Thank you

Not likely ; have a look at https://www.cisco.com/site/us/en/learn/training-certifications/training/modeling-labs/index.html
which is more advanced according to you needs. It's not free but you can test it (evaluate) to get a look and feel.

I agree with @marce1000 , with CML, Cisco unlikely to dramatically improve Packet Tracer, as you hope, for multiple reasons, both technical and marketing.

Personally, I use both, but find neither is often my "Goldilocks" "just right" solution.
