IMA group behavior

I'm preparing to do IMA with a 3640 and I have three T1s.

What should I set my minimum links to?

I'm wondering if I set my minimum links to 3, and then 1 of my 3 T1's fail, what happens to my data? Obviously my IMA group will go down, but does that mean my data will stop? I am guessing so.

Therefore, why would anyone choose anything but "1" for min links?

Am I right in thinking this way?

What you say is correct. You should set it to a value lower than 3, if you want the group to be active even if a link fails.
