input errors on a Port-Channel: giants

Hello,

I?m connecting two 6513s with 2 dot1q gigabits bundled in a Port-channel.

I?m getting a lot of giants errors ( about 1 out of 6 packets).

Adding dot1q and Port-channel have increased the size of the ethernet frame so I suspect that the MTU issue is coming from there.

Have anyone faced this problem? What will be the solution to get it fixed?

Thanks in advance for your help, Laurent

creating a portChannel of 2gb with two 1gb interfaces will not increase the frame size. perhaps you have jumbo frames enabled on one switch and not the other.

the frame size will be 9216 after JUMBO frame support is enabled (per port).

due to an ASIC limitation, the following blades must be limited to an MTU of 8092:

WS-X6248-RJ-45

WS-X6248A-RJ-45

WS-X6248-TEL

WS-X6248A-TEL

WS-X6348-RJ-45

WS-X6348-RJ-45V

WS-X6348-RJ-21

set the MTU size at the interface.
