Integration Issue with 3Com switch

Hi,

I am connecting a 3Com 4900 switch to Cisco catalyst 4503 on a fiber- 1000 Base-SX module both sides.The moment I am Connecting the fiber link to the Cisco 4503 , I am not getting any Link ( Link LED not glowing).However this 3com switch is working with the other 3com switch without any problem.Is there any compatibility issue?

You should check in the product support page first to check if they are compatible

Have you tried reversing the fibers (the TX on one side to the Rx on the other)?

Make sure the SX module is well-seated on the Cisco side.

Are you using the same jumper / link to connect the Cisco as you are the 3COM? Have you tried other jumpers/links?

Make sure the connectors and ports are clean.

Make sure all other protocols are off (trunking/ redundancy, etc) on both sides.

Can the Cisco connect to ANYTHING from that port (maybe the module is dead)?
