Hi!
I have a Cisco 1721 (12.2(11)T8) with 1 fastethernet and 1 serial interface. I need that when fastethernet goes down, the serial goes down too. Does any feature on cisco routers do it ?
Tks.

There are some enhancements included in recent versions of 12.3T which provide for object tracking. I do not have personal experience with this and so am not sure if it will provide the functionality that you describe. But if anything will do it I suspect that it will be this feature. Go to Cisco CCO and search on object tracking and you will find a number of references which describe this new functionality.

Perhaps you could explain the situation in more detail. I don't know of any way to do this directly, but perhaps your situation would lend itself to some other creative solution using the aforementioned object tracking capabilities of the 12.3T code.
