Internet connectivity and VPN question

Can I connect an IPSec VPN form my 837 ADSL router to my 2600 ADSL and still have external internet access at both sites?

You sure can. An ACL is used by the crypto map to control what traffic should be encrypted or go in clear. Your ACL should permit the scope of address belonging to your two sites. Internet traffic will be allowed to flow unencrypted.
