Is there a delay timer available for the IP HELPER-ADDRESS function? I am getting more DHCP leases completed through my relay agent than my local DHCP server. The DHCP server appears to be practically 0% utilization 24/7 so I can't image the relay agent is getting a faster response than the local DHCP box. I would like to add a delay value to the IP HELPER-ADDRESS service so that it does not become the primary method of acquiring dhcp addresses.
TIA

NOthing in the 12.3 documentation indicates anything like this. When you say local, are you on the same subnet ?

I have two subnets/sites that are connected by a T1. In both sites are DHCP servers (w2k server). Each DHCP server has a portion of the other site's DHCP IP addr pool for failover purposes. I am finding that a large portion of the opposing sites IP addrs are being allocated from the failover pool instead of the primary pool on the local DHCP server.
