Hi,
Is there anything unique about having an ISDN router dial a digital RAS modem card? We set up the bris and dialers just like we set them for our sites that dial isdn to isdn. It seems that it comes up for 20 secs and then dies. If we are just calling one way, do we need to set up the dialer and authentication password at the other end?
Thanks,
Paula

Can you post your config, and maybe the output of 'debug ppp negotiation' and 'debug ppp authentication' as well?

The purpose of the modems is to allow the ras to receive voice calls on isdn circuits. The isdn coming into the ras needs to be provisioned for voice and data and you need to tell the ras to send incoming voice calls to the modems with this statement in the pri or bri int " isdn incoming-voice modem". If the line is not provisioned right or that statement is not present it will still connect but will fail when it sees it is a voice call. If you are calling isdn to isdn the modems are not used.
