Just installed VMS 2.1....

in the following sequence: cd one 5h ed, rme, vpn monitor, common services, router mc, pix mc, ids mc, and security mc. When I attempt to start the app by clicking on the ciscoworks shortcut icon on the desktop, I get an error message indicating that the server is not ready. Any ideas whey I get this error and can't run the app? Thanks in advance, Peter

Hi,

After installing VMS 2.1 you will have to wait for sometime for cisco works

to stabilize. Verify if you are following the recommended h/w and s/w requirements.On a machine which confirms to the requirements, it will take around 5 mins for Cisco Works to launch.

Please check whether all the applications are up and running

by executing "pdshow " at the command prompt.

If the applications are not up, you can try the following at the command prompt.

1. net stop crmdmgtd

2. net start crmdmgtd

3. Wait for some time( Around 5 to 7 minutes ) for Cisco Works to stabilize before you launch the application.

If the problem persists , please get back to us with the following:

1. OS (Win2k prof/Server)

2. Service Pack

3. Browser version and service pack

4. Physical memory

5. Any other web based applications being used.

6. Disk space.
