Linksys Router interfacing with 1720

I was handed a project to get a Linksys DSL router to communicate with a lan that has a Cisco 1725 router and a 2924 switch; the linksys wan port is plugged into the switch. The linksys supports only Rip v2 and so I turned this on for the 1720 (which also is using EIGRP). Yet they will not communicate. I also tried static routes with no luck. The 2 networks are setup for:

10.2.0.0 255.255.0.0 (the cisco side of the network).

198.2.1.0 255.255.255.0 (the network behind the linksys router)

Any ideas?

Steve

You should be plugging the LAN port of the DSL router to the switch.

Did you make sure the DSL router's LAN port and the 1720 router port are in the same vlan on the switch ?

If they are not on the same vlan then they are not going to talk to each other.
