Is this your own addess on a serial link? If you are pinging the address of a point-to-point link, the ping will go all the way to the partner and back again. You respond, and response also goes all the way to the partner and back again.

Hi,

which OS are you running on your PC?

Some Windows simply display ping response time < 10 ms no matter if it was 1 ms or 10 ms in fact...

Milan

Dear Sir,

Windows 2000.

So if you receive time<10ms in the ping output, I beleive that's the Windows case.

Or do you get time=10ms?

Gegards,

Milan

Milan,

yes, I am getting <10ms in window 2000 and window xp 1ms

Regards.
