logging source-interface unrecognized command

I am setting up syslog on a 2610 router running 12.0(5) (fc1) IOS. Even though the router will autocomplete the command logging source-interface ethernet 0, it reports that it is an unrecognized command. I am able to set the host and levels, etc. but I need to specify the interface for DNS resolution in the syslog server. I am trying to avoid adding an unnecessary reverse pointer in the DNS server. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are running into some kind of bug. 12.0(5) has been around for a long time. I would recommend upgrading to a more recent level of IOS.

Hope this helps,

I was hoping there might be a workaround, but such is life. Thanks for the quick reply.
