Here is the situation... Due to a recent security issue, the powers-that-be would like to set up an ACL and log the traffic against that ACL to syslog. We are running CiscoWorks 2000 on a Windows 2000 server (unfortunately - thats another story).
Here are my questions:
1) Is it possible to log some messages to different facilities in Cisco Routers/Switches?
2) How would I set up an alternate logging solution for this ACL?
3) Is it possible within CiscoWorks to run Facility specific reports?
4) Where in Windows 2000 is the syslog configuration file (unix=/etc/syslog.conf) located?
5) Do you have any alternate solutions for this scenario?
Thanks for any help!

I believe that you can log messages to different facilities. Windows does not have the syslog configuration file (unix=/etc/syslog.conf), Solaris has that. This URL may help you http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/RME/rme_setup_syslog_15381.shtml
