Try pressing **# and then pressing settings. That should unlock the config. Below is a link you can use for reference.

Josegre,
After you press the settings button on your phone, you will want to press **#. That will unlock your phone, so that you can config it manually.

I can do that on 7940s but on 7910s models i cant.
I press SETTINGS option 6, and then appear lock on top right. Pressing **# doesnt work on 7910s
What can i do after that?

Have you tried using the "save" soft key?
08-23-2004 10:40 AM
Off course that i use SAVE softkey, i only configure a 7940 model not 7910 that is i want to use.
The other issue is that its appear into ccm with an static ip and i cant say that use the ip add that put manually.

So what exactly is happening when you push the save key? Also, are you saying that your callmanager is showing a different IP than the one you configure manually for your 7940?
Thanks!

At least, now i can make possible to save configuration onto 7910 also 7940. But my ccm doesnt make a refresh an it appear like if the DHCP seizes the mac add and dont permit to register the phone

Did you make sure you removed the static ip's you gave your phones from the dhcp scope?

Yeap... remember that i dont have DHCP server into the branch that i need install the phone.

If you look at the arp table on the gateway for the network that the ip phone ip comes from; does it have the correct mac address/ip mapping of the ip phone? Maybe there is another device on that network that used to use that ip or is still using it. If you see the wrong mapping, then clear the arp cache, and then ping your ip phone, then see if the correct mapping is in the arp table.

Hit Settings button.
Hit button 3 for Network Configuration.
Should see an icon of a lock on top right hand side of the screen.
Hit **# and you should see the lock getting unlocked.
Hit number 30 on the dial pad, and you should see the option for enabling/disabling DHCP. Use the "Yes" softkey to disable DHCP.
Go down to option 31 and release the current DHCP address.
Scroll up to the IP address, Subnet mask, default gateway, TFTP server etc, to specify the address statically. When you highlight the above options, you should see an "Edit" softkey. Hit the Edit key to key in the new values. Use the * key to specify a dot between IP addresses.
Hope that helps!
