I have a 3750G-24TS that I need to attach a RJ-45 10/100 port firewall. The 3750 is on a campus site that is fiber attached only to the computer room. I need to place a firewall that has only RJ-45 10/100 ports to the 3750 fiber port.
Is there a recommended Media Convert to use?
Thanks, Ken

I don't like adding additional things that I have to troubleshoot, but I understand your situation. I would recommend using a Canoga Perkins http://www.canoga.com/
Good luck!

Hi Ken,
You can use a convertor. 100 MB fiber/rj45 convertors are common sold so it should not be a problem to find one.
Be aware of the type of fiber there is between te two rooms. his could be single mode or multimode.
So buy a convertor suitable for the type of cabeling and the type of plug (e.g. SC) you are using and it should be going fine.
Hope thats helps.
