dear sirs

we have two vlans on our lan network and we did not

permit the traffic between them( no trunk or capsulation and the second vlan network id did not applied for router table)

i need to mirror the traffic between two ports on the switch 5505 one of them in vlan1 and the other in vlan3 using set span , it will work or not ?

and if it works , the data comes to specific server in vlan1 (it has socket number)

can the other server in vlan3 read this data or it will discard it as it does not belong its ip address?

You can configure SPAN to mirror traffic from the VLANs. How SPAN works is that it will have one or more Source ports (Ports that will be mirrored )and one destination port. For more information on SPAN have a look at the following URL
