When I type show spantree mst and get the following
1/1 forwarding ROOT 20000 32 P2P, Pre-STD
What does the Pre-STD stand for. This switch is running ver 8-3-3 CAT OS and the root switch on the other end is running CAT OS 7-6-3. Even though the MST configuration on both switches is identical they are in different regions? How do I get all of the switches to be in the same region without using VTP version 3. Some of our switches 3550s do not support VTP version 3 that I can see.
