In older versions of the NAM software and CATOS, it was possible to collect statistics on an individual layer 2 switch port, so that one could see utilization of that particular link over time.
I cannot find a way to do that after my upgrade to Sup720s and IOS 12.2(33)SXI9 and upgrading the NAM2 to 5.1. Using NDE from the switch to the NAM doesn't appear to be an option as Netflow is oriented towards layer 3 and higher.
My scenario - my CAT6513 with SUP720/MSFC3/PFC3Bs is used as a layer 2 switch, with routers connected via layer 2 switchports, and a pair of FWSMs doing internal routing between VLANs. What I used to do was collect statistics on the NAM for the switch ports that serviced the routers and told me how much traffic was heading out to the WAN. I'd like to be able to do the same thing after the upgrade.
