nGenius RTM 1.3 license problems

My customer has installed LMS 2.0 and this runs fine.

Now he has upgraded from RTM 1.2 to 1.3 with the two kits rtm130-b222-win.exe and rtm130-b223-win.exe.

Now access to the server is not possible and we found the following error message in debuglog-tue:

[15:48:13]Debug:Debug level set to 1

[15:48:13]NSServer:Your evaluation license has expired, can not continue...

Since RTM is told to be a complimentary part of LMS

I'm a little astonished which license he could need.

Can somebody please give me some hints, what can be done in this case...?

thanks and best regards

eva

Contact Cisco’s licensing department (licensing@cisco.com) and explain the problem.

Thanks, but RTM does not need any license.

Problem was finally solved after we installed RTM 1.3 from scratch. Something strange must have happened during upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3.

RTM is now running.

More than likely the problem is the NT/W2K user account/priveleges thatis created when RTM 1.3 is installed..

I found that the user "ngenius" that is created is given only "user" account priveleges and in order to actually use the application ngenius needs to have Administative account priveleges. So if you manually give ngenius adminstative priveleges on the box the licensing issue should clear up. ( My experience just hacking away - no doc's supporting this yet though.)

b222 and b223 are not upgrades from 1.2 to 1.3. They are patches for 1.3. You need to upgrade to 1.3 before you apply these patches. In order to do that you need the 1.3 media, which you can get from Cisco if you got a support agreement. Read more on http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/770/fn15912.shtml.
