Does anyone know if there are differences (performance, functionalities,...) between these 2 Hardware configuration:
one NM-4T (4 serial sync) or
one NM-2W plus 2 WIC-2T
The only difference that I can notice is that soluton with NM-2W is more flexible if tomorrow something changed on the interface media
Any suggestions are aprreciated
Thanks

The only difference I could find (other than price and flexibility):
- the WIC-2T can also be used for async connections (e.g. to connect a POTS modem).
- the NM-4T supports configurations of 1x 8Mbps or 2x 4Mbps besides the more usual 4x 2Mbps.
So the NM-2W plus 2x WIC-2T appears to be the most useful, even at a (slightly) lower price.
Note that different cables are required since the NM-4T has DB60 connectors (use e.g. CAB-V35 cable) while the WIC-2T uses SmartSerial connectors (e.g. CAB-SS-V35 cable).
You may also want to make sure your setup is supported by looking it up in the following tables:

Thanks Herbert for the reply,
If you use ONLY sync connection..NM-4T it seems to be mor elegant as a solution than NM-2W + 2xWIC-2T even if there is a small price difference

Personally I would prefer flexibility over elegancy, so you could always replace a wic, move one wic to another router, re-use the wics in routers with wic slots etc. But if your setup if expected to be static then I guess it is a personal choice...
