No physical hardware support

Hello colleagues,

I just obtained a 2610. I upgraded the flash memory from 8 to 16. When I try to add the group-range command to the Group-Async1 interface, I get a message telling me no physical hardware support. Does anybody know what that means ? I am not sure why that happens, since I didn“t change the hardware, just the memory.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,

Georg

Do you have any Async net modules installed? If you do make sure the router is recognizing them (show diag). You may want to try to reseat them. You may need to change your version of code if they are not being recognized if this new.

Under 'show run' do you have async line interfaces (ie: line 33 48, etc)?

If you don't have any async interfaces you won't be able to group them together.
