odd behavior of RIP

platform: C2500

IOS:11.2(9)

environment: two routes running rip

phenomenon: when the metric of a redistributed connected linke on one router became large, such as from 1 to 2, this route on the other router changed from 1 to 2 immediately instead of entering holddown state.

I tryed this on another C2500 with IOS ver 11.2(7a), and the change of route was as what I expected, that is, it entered the holddown state.

I wonder whether this is a bug of 11.2(9)?

how are you increasing the metric of the redistributed routes ? Can you post the configuration of your router ?
