OSPF:Redistribute static & connected

Hello,

What unique feature in redisributing static subnets over connected subnets. Are they both do identical job or any significance is there between static & connected subnets redistribution in a OSPF network.

Hi

The redistribute connected only takes subnets which are direct connected on the router into ospf. So all the subnets configured on a interface on the router will go into ospf .

The redistribute static only will take static routes configured on the router into ospf. So there is a difference.
