ospf routing/static

Hi,

I want to know if ospf can handle about 620 routes+ 630 routing table, reason being we have 620 remote sites all dialing to 2x3660 routers (hunt group). As the Mitel (remote isdn router) don't have ospf capability We had to define static routes for all remote subnet's behind the each Mitel isdn box's in both 3660 routers so that which ever router excepts incoming call have static route for remote subnet's behind that isdn device (Mitel).

Hi,

Cisco recommend that in OSPF less than 100 routers in 1 area, less than 700 routers in the whole network. In this point you can deploy OSPF in you network. But you must consider the routing protocol packet (e.g. hello packet) in your network. that might make your isdn line dial to another site for exchanging routing protocol. Considering use snapshot routing.
