Victor,
Unfortunately, I don't see Copper GBIC listed on the data sheet for 7200VXR I/O Controllers:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps341/products_data_sheet09186a0080088724.html
"Interface flexibility by using industry-standard GBICs, including the following:
1000BASE-SX multimode, compliant with IEEE 802.3z specifications
1000BASE-LX/LH compliant with IEEE 802.3z specifications
1000BASE-ZX
GBIC connector: 20-pin AMP SCA-2 equivalent"
If this is truly the case, you may have to get a Gigabit Ethernet media converter. A quick Google search finds copper-to-SC multimode media converters for as low as $200 at
http://www.buymediaconverter.com/gigabit/index.asp
Another possibility: Does your LAN switch have a GBIC port? If so, can you get a fiber GBIC for the switch and use fiber directly between the switch and router?
You may also want to contact a local Cisco rep to be sure what I'm saying is accurate.
HTH,
