Hi,
We have 2 3550-12G switch connected using Gigastack module (server room) & 2 3550-48 switch (wiring closet) connected to both 3550-12G via MM fiber GBIC (STP). We are planning half of users connected to servers (VLAN1), remaining half connected to these servers & internet (router). We want to create MAC based VLAN. How I configure these 2 VLANs?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Od,
for MAC-address based VLANs, you could use VPMS or Cisco URT (see the link below), although for VMPS, you need another switch (such as the 6500), so that might not be an option in your case.
A previous post also mentioned http://vmps.sourceforge.net, you might want to have a look at that, too...

Thanks for your reply. What about prices? As my understanding I should buy VPS 110X & URT software? I can't find information about pricing.

URT costs about 25000$ list pricing. Check with a Cisco partner as far as how much discount you get.
