Does anyone know of any issues with a SPAN port flapping when activating it to a Sniffer, have tried a few Sniffers also. I am getting the attached messages:

Jan 16 13:04:19 XXXXXXXXXX 2004 Jan 16 13:04:19 CST -06:00 %SYS-5-SPAN_CFGSTATECHG:local span session inactive for destination port 9/4

Hi,

it seems to me like NIC compatibility problem between your switch and sniffer.

What kind of sniffer are you using?

Is port speed/duplex fixed or auto on the destination port 9/4?

Regards,

Milan
