nm-4t limit on 3640

Currently have 3 nm-4t's installed on a 3640, intention is to utilise 11 of these with 2meg leased lines, however when leased line 9 was connected this caused drops and carrier transitions on other interfaces. IOS 11.1(20)AA

Upgrade the IOS to 12.0 above and enable CEF. The command to enable cef is as follows:

Use the " ip cef " command in global configuration mode.

My mistake IOS is 12.1(5)T12, and i can't see how enabling CEF would help. Do i have a memory issue???

CEF reduce the load on CPU and increase performance. How much mem you are using write now. You can also check it after you enable all interfaces with show mem and show cpu command to see the stress on your hardware.
