Hi,
I have a Cisco Catalyst 2980G configured with several primary VLANs and additional community VLANs. This configuration is used in conjunction with a Cisco PIX for a 'cheap' but secure DMZ-solution. I run version 6.3.7 of CatOS on the Catalyst.
I have an urgent need to connect my Sniffer-pc to one VLAN and see what's going on. For this I tried to designate one of the Private VLAN ports as a SPAN port, but this isn't allowed. I need to remove the port in question from it's Private VLAN status and make it a member of the Primary VLAN and make it be in promiscious mode.
The Primary VLAN is 200, the secondary community-PVLAN is 202 and the port is 2/24. I need to make the port a promiscous port with an association to VLAN 200. I have tried the following command:
clear pvlan mapping 200 202 2/24 (error message: Mapping does not exist on this port, failed to clear mapping between 200 and 202 on 2/24)
Is there any other way of clearing the information?
With kind regards
Matias Stuven
