Problem with jumbo frames

I have a 4500 trunked to two 6500s. I have jumbo frames enabled on the trunks of the 6500s, and I have the mtu configured for 9098 on the 4500 trunks. On the 4500, I have all of the ports that are capable of doing jumbo frames setup. I have the ports that can't do jumbo frames setup in a different vlan. Because the different vlan is still allowed on the trunk, the 4500 shows an mtu mismatch. How can I fix this?

If you do not want that VLAN traffic to cross the trunk, you can prune or remove it from being carried over the trunk. Otherwise, try changing the MTU for the particular VLAN which is not configured for jumbo frames.
