problem with my interface

my show interface its connected but i am not able to ping that ip(gateway ip address is correct). Please help me

Is this on a switch or a router ? Could you post the output of 'sh interface' ?

hmm, is this a router, a switch? what ip are you pinging? Is the ip address you are pinging in the same subnet as the interface showing up/up? If the ip address you are trying to ping is on different subnet, are you able to ping the gateway of last resort? There is really not a lot of info to help troubleshoot the issue but hopefully the questions above will help you determine what the problem might be. and hopefully how to resolve it.

this is switch. What are the problem need to be check.

Hi,

If it's a L2 interface on the switch, then you are not supposed to be able to ping the other end. If it is a L3 interface, pls post the config and we can take a look.

how to check the interface , i need some idea or method to check the interface.

Post the following output:

show interface

and also advise what IP address you are trying to ping.
