Problem with Switches

We recently implemented vmps and are noticing a strange problem. In one area serviced by 4 2950 switches all having version 12.1 computers will just drop off the network for no apparent reason. The MACs are in the VMPS database and the 4006 that is acting as a VMPS server has the MAC in the VMPS table. We have noticed that the FastEthernet interfaces are cycling up and down, though not as fast as a flapping interface. I have searched the Cisco website to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you checked if the problem is with VMPS or the switch ports. Disable VMPS and see if ports are all up and stable. If so then problem is with VMPS. Check out the document for more details:
