Mr.:
My switch(6509) got a message:
"
%UDLD-3-DISABLE:Unidirectional link detected on port 1/1. Port disabled
"
the port 1/1 had been disabled. But I am sure my link is good as this message happened on several distributed switches. All these distributed switches(6509) connect to a core switch(6509).
I found such resulf of 'show trunk' on my core switch:
"
... ...
4/13 on dot1q trunking 1
4/16 on dot1q trunking 1
15/1 nonegotiate isl trunking 1
"
My question is: is that(15/1 with isl encapsulation) a problem? AND if the UDLD-disable caused by trunk encapsulation mismatched?
Thanks for your help.

Sha

Hello Sha,
is 15/1 not usually the MSFC ?
How is your port 1/1 (the one for which the error message has been generated) configured ?
Which CatOS version are you running ?

GP,
yes, 15/1 is MSFC.
CatOS is 7.6(9).
my configuration of port 1/1:
"
set trunk 1/1 on dot1q 1,736
set port channel 1/1 mode off
"
thanks alot.

Hi Shahaij,
I do not think we can change the isl encapsulation for msfc becuase it is internel from sup to msfc and is bydefault. Also there is no problem with ISL encap on 15/1

Ankur,
Thank you. Maybe you're right. But I think it's not a good way. dot1q--isl--dot1q . and these 2 protocol don't match well. I doubt it as I found a bug: CSCdv59021. but that bug is little different from this. it caused by encapsulation mismatch between link.
Thanks again.

Sha
