We are a BW provider and in our network we are re-coloring/rate-limiting Customer's traffic, using CAR statments [eg: "rate-limit input 144000 8000 8000 conform-action set-prec-transmit 4 exceed-action set-prec-continue 2 OR rate-limit input access-group 191 296000 8000 8000 conform-action set-prec-transmit 4 exceed-action set-prec-continue 2"]the traffic on input interface of Customer on access Router 3662 OR Common outgoing Interface of our access Router 3662[IOS 12.1(6) or 12.0(7)XK] OR common incoming interface of Distribution Router7507[12.1(6)] which is connected to access router on same LAN on which Access Router's Outgoing LAN Interface is connected but we observe that ICMP traffic and some other traffic remains uncolored, this we observe/verify using some extended -list ( source & precedence matching combination). Meaning some traffic which has colored with precedence 3 or 5 at customer end and entering our access router does not get colored as per our Policy.
We would appreciate valuable advise to resolve this issue.
