I am setting up a remote site to access the network at our main office using two PIX501's.
I have established a tunnel between the two sites which allows me to ping from one network to the other and back again. However I cannot log on to the network or access any of the shared resources.
I am assuming this is a windows networking issue. Any assistance would be appreciated.

First you should verify that the servers are IP-reachable. That step eliminates IP settings like the default gateway pointing to anything else.
With IP connectivity OK, you should be able to set up a share using //ip-address/sharename. (No domain, using local accounts.)
Enabling WINS allows you to use windows naming services. With more recent windows versions, DNS and ADS might be the preferrable choice.
Logging onto a domain without a local domain controller will require all this or an lmhosts file.

Leo,
I assume that by "IP-reachable" you mean that I can ping between the remote PC and the server, and vice versa. I can.
One of the shared folders on the server (10.2.5.5) I am tryung to access is "Projects"
The command //10.2.5.5/projects returns the reply
The network path was not found.
We do not have a local domain server, I would appreciate any advice on setting up WINS.
Regards
Mike
