Remove IMA group interface

I am trying to delete ( remove ) IMA group interface from my Cisco 7500 Router

but I got the following error message :

CORE#1(config)#no interface atm 4/1/ima1

% Removal of physical interfaces is not permitted

CORE#1(config)#

There is no port configured for this IMA group

Can you help me to remove my IMA group interface ??

I came across the same thing. This is the actual physical IMA interface. The only way I know of to remove it is to remove power from the router, take the card out and power up the router. Be sure to save the config before just in case. Maybe you are thinking that this is a sub-interface. That is what I thought.
