Replacing flash memory in Cisco 1605 router

Hi,

Anyone who knows if it's possible to replace the pcmcia flash memory in a 1605 router with a Compact flash memory and a PC card adapter, or must it be specific "cisco memory"?

I've bought a Compact flash memory and a PC card adapter but can't get it to work. The router can't read the card and I can't format it.

Generally speaking, cisco products require specific Cisco RAM/Flash etc.

If you do a search on google for Cisco Flash then it should return results.

However, do be aware that you will be paying more for this type of flash memory as it is of a higher quality.
