Request for the explaination on load-sharing, distribution & balancing ?

I have been baffled with all these terms load-sharing, distribution & balancing.

Can someone please explain to me what are their differences ?

Does the major difference lie in the OSI layer (perspective) ?

Please help

In my view, they are rather generic terms that can be used at any layer.

And I think some people use them as meaning the same, while others consider sharing as unequal distribution and balancing as equal distribution.

Just my 2 eurocents.
