RME-Inventory- Device stays in Pending mode forever

Hi,

We have CiscoWorks 2000 with RME 3.3 running on Solaris 2.7.

When I am trying to add a device using RME, the device stays in pending mode for ever. Has anybody experienced this before?. It was working fine before I reinstalled Solaris and Ciscoworks.

Thanks

Raga

check whether you are using netscape 4.75 , the java plug-in 1.3.0 which is a must for ciscoworks when running on Solaris 2.7.

Yes, I had the problem until I upgraded RME. Can't remember exactly what patch it was that did it, but there definitely is a fix out there.

One way you can get "around" the problem is to remove the items from pending one at a time. Whichever one is "stuck" once removed will allow the others to process normally. Problem for me was there were quite a few "stuck" inventory items in the database.

One thing you can do to try and limit the # of stuck items you have is to make sure all the devices are actually there. Remove any items from the database that are actually gone. You might also try reinitializing your ANI database if your exporting it to RME...
