Router has a pound sign!

Not applicable

Our routers have a pound signs at the end of the prompt due to the privilege setting in the routers config (level-enable 3 and debug 4). This has caused many problems with Ciscoworks2000. My question is… If a router is capable of producing a pound sign, why isn't Ciscoworks2000 able to deal with the pound sign instead of the carrot sign at the end of the prompt?

Ps.. Can the PERL script be altered to change this setting to look for a pound sign???

Hi,

RME 3.x expects device prompt to end with '>' symbol in user mode and '#' symbol in the enable mode. There is no workaround possible in RME;the device can be configured to display the correct prompts. This limitation is release noted and can be found at:

Thanks,

Gagan
