We have two Internet Links from two different Service provider.
Both the links are connected thru Checkpoint Firewall on Nokia IP440 Box. But it randomly sends the packet outin both the link( Not Load Balancing) but incoming comes in the respective interface.
The problem which we are facing is whenever any one link Fails, both the services are not working. So we could not able to use the Link effectively. Rite now we are using two different routers for both the links.
We thought of terminating both the links in a single router and route the traffic appropriately even though the traffic comes randomly from both the Links.
Pls advise us on how to go about on this. The IP detaisl are as below.
One Link - LAN IP's - 61.95.242.24/29
DNS - 202.56.230.5,202.54.230.6
Second Link - LAN IP's - 203.199.218.128/27
DNS -202.54.6.50, 202.54.6.60

Hello,
terminating both links on one router and working with default static routes with different administrative distances would be an option, but I would look at the Checkpoint problem first. Are you running Nokia IPSO ? What does the routing table look like ?

Georg

Yes we are running Nokia IPSO. The gatewayis with priority on both the Links are mentioned as 1, hence this randomnly sending traffic in both the Links.
otherwise a single link will be loaded.
