I am getting a number of these error messages and I am trying to track down why I get this message. looked at the PDlog and this is what it shows:

wondering where I look to find out what is causing packet drops.  the interface utilization is not much of anything .

Do you still have this issue ? We should be able to use the dlctrace feature to track. Does the connection traverse a firewall or IPS. Matthew

Yes we are still seeing this. I can try and pull the dlctrace after I see the error.  The traffic doesn't traverse any firewall or IPS.

Would it be possible to open a tac case, so we can store configs & dlctrace etc. If yes, ask it to be routed to me (mwinnett@cisco.com). Does the rtp pipe go down eventually ? Do you know how to take the dlctrace ? You can trigger it to stop on the message, quite a nice feature. Matthew

Matt,   thanks for the reply.  unfortunately this device is no longer able to be under a support contract (npe400) so I can not open a tac case on it.the dlctrace is active and I can look at the trace (sh snasw dlctrace last ... ) but not sure how quickly I would need to capture it.  how would I stop it on an event?  or if I need to look for specific information how would I filter the show command.

Can you add to the config "snasw msgdump RTP_LOG_12" - this will cause the dlctrace to stopped and dumped when the message is triggered. Can you save the capture in analyser (snas dump dlct) and detail (sh snas dlct all det) format along with show tech, sh snas li det, sh snas rtp det, sh snas pdlog last 20 det. If you have a topology diagram (save visio as .jpg) it wil be helpful. Matthew
