Hello,
Can anybody advise me how can I provide ONLY LinkUP/DOWN traps for a given destination, while I'm getting all the traps? I have the current config and here let's say I'd like to add a new trap desination.
snmp-server engineID local XXXXXXXXXX
snmp-server community XXXXXXXXXXX
snmp-server trap-source XXXXXXXXXXXX
snmp-server location XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
snmp-server contact XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
snmp-server enable traps config
snmp-server enable traps envmon
snmp-server host AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD public
snmp-server tftp-server-list 10

Hello,
I am not sure which versions but IOS 12.2(1) allows:
snmp-server traps enable linkup linkdown
Good Luck!

Hi Jim,
I run c2600-is-mz.121-11.bin and here I don't have the possibility you mentioned. Do you have any other idea?
I find out that the command snmp trap link-status issued on a per interface basis produces the traps but I can't see how can I direct only theese to the given destination (kind of an access list to associate???).
Regards,
Tibor

at the end of the
snmp-server host A.B.C.D community
there might be an opportunity to add trap types...Not sure on a 2600...Also up/down is under snmp trap types but this include authentication and cold/warm start stuff...
