Please help. I just bought a Soho 91 ethernet cable router from a store on ebay. It was listed as new, never been used. When I received it all was in the box except software, quick start guide and the 2 ethernet cables were replaced by 1. I follow the directions on initial setup. Plug my systems ether into router ether port 4 and turned the router on and system. Router comes on, system boots. System is set for DHCP prior. Open browser, input in address space 10.10.10.1, for the web setup. Does not open the web configuration screen. I do ipconfig, my system has picked up an address of 192.168.100.2 from the Cisco and a default gateway of 192.168.100.1. ?????. I can ping the default gateway but not 10.10.10.1. I try putting that address in the address block. Nope does not open. I release and renew, same address. I even tried assigning my system 10.10.10.2 and a default gateway of 10.10.10.1. Nope. The web says the default setup address is 10.10.10.1 but the router is definately setup with a 192.168.100 address range and the router must be setup as .1. I cannot access the router period. I also tried connecting via console port. Get a Username prompt...do not know what it is. Anyone have any ideas? Know how I can set the router back to default?

The reason you are picking up 192 address is because the previous owner has it running as a DHCP machine.
You are getting a Default gateway of 192.168.100.1.
That IP is the router itself. I would put that into your Browser and see what happens.
On the console you get a user name because the person who previously owned it set it up with that.Or its a default user name like "Admin" and password "cisco", or "CISCO", or "Cisco" can't remember or it could just be "Admin" as user and a blank password.
I've never messed with them and am not sure how you would reset it back to factory configuration. Ill see if I can find anything for you.
