Dear sir,

We are facing problem while completion of D link.

Spanning tree priority in devices as follows;

A - 6509=32768

B - (Extreme sw)=65535

C - (Extreme)=65535 and

D - (cisco3512)=32768.

When try to complete the ring ,switch(D) one of port not going in block mode.

Also E Switch becomes unreachable . Also we received complained of L2 links fluctuation

from F- which is the same connectivity as a D .

Actually E & F connected at AA-6509 L3 device whereas B,C,D connected to A-6509

(which is connected to L3 AAA-6509).

So we disabled port 1 reach.

In test setup we found cisco3512's one of port goes in block mode.

Attahed file is acess ring for parsi & netmagic-reach.

A - 6509

AA - 6509

AAA - 6509

B-C-E-F all are EXTREME Boxces...it's switches

D - is 3512 cisco box

rgds,

There is a bug in a very limited manufacturing run of 3500's such as the 3512's that have a bad spanning-tree defect. Check out this page:
