Hi All,
The scenario is like this :
I have created 2 Vlans with 2 IP addresses (Vlan2 and 3). I have a third segment that is found behind a device (this device is on Vlan 3). Therefore, I did a static network route for the third segement pointing to the device IP and enable ip routing on the switch.
But the packets are not passing through from the third segment to Vlan 2. All the gateways are routed correctly. Did I miss out something?
Thanks in advance.

Ben

Hello,
just to be sure, check if the default gateway on the hosts and the segment is that of the VLAN3 interface of the switch. Have you configured the port on the 3550 that connects to the segment as a switchport belonging to VLAN3 ?
switchport
switchport access vlan 3

Hi,
The default gateways are all correct. The problem seems like the Switch does not know how to forward packets to the segment behind the device. The device is connected on the switch on VLAN 3.
I will try to turn 1 port on the switch to a L3 port with the VLAN3 IP and use a cross cable to connect it to VLAN3 and remove the IP address on int vlan3.
Any other sugesstion? Thanks guys.

Ben
