the result of a large packet ping test

Yes, I performed a 2 hour ping test to a couple of ASP servers that we use. My ping packet size was 992 bytes, and I recieved about a 9% packet loss after the 2 hours. Do you think this is a good or bad result? Thanks.

If it is working correctly you shouldn't drop any . 9% is too much , that is almost 1/10 of your traffic which then has to be retransmitted . I would start looking at port and nic settings as well as any links across the network , you don't indicate where you did the ping from , on the same switch or across the network .
